Dine with Delight - Onsite
Enjoy critically acclaimed dining right here at Avalon Hotel. Our restaurant A Fish Called Avalon has been a South Beach staple for more than 28 years, serving up fresh seafood to Miami locals and visitors alike. Savor the original cuisine while situated in our art deco lobby or on our breezy terrace — located right on the famed Ocean Drive. In the morning or afternoon, stop by Craft Café for pastries, quiches, paninis, burgers, and more. Savor a decadent coffee-based dessert, such as a S’more latte — an amaretto latte with chocolate sauce, graham crackers, and toasted marshmallows.
The location of the property is great as it’s very close to the beach, as well as to many shopping areas in & around Collins & Washington Avenue. The hotel itself is an older property & can do well with some remodeling & updating. However, my stay was warm & welcoming as the staff are pleasant, welcoming & kind. My bed was comfortable, despite a smaller room. We cannot forget to comment on how AMAZING the food at “A Fish Called Avalon,” which is the name of the restaurant at the hotel itself. We had dinner at the restaurant & everything we ordered were spectacular, very delicious & tasty. Definitely worth the cost, & much compliment goes out to the chef Kal, who we met in person. Overall, we enjoyed our stay both at the hotel & in and around South Beach Miami.
“First Class Service”
We were stranded in Miami for the day as we had already left another hotel with our bags when our flight was cancelled. We asked a number of hotels on Ocean drive if we could leave our luggage for a few hours but none of them would help. The guys at the front desk were very warm and tremendously helpful the moment we stepped in. They offered to store our luggage safely and provided us with tags to later retrieve our stuff despite the fact that we hadn't even stayed at the hotel. Very gracious and classy staff here. Will definitely stay here on our next visit.
"Restaurant was wonderful, very classy but casual"
We had a fantastic dinner here last night. The menu was mostly fish and the wine list was extensive but not too expensive. We were a walk in as the place looked good and we were very pleased with our choice.
“Loved it...staff #1, decor retro, very deco!”
We were thrilled with our stay! Last week of feb., one night before cruise. Staff could not be more helpful, professional, efficient, and most of all friendly. Got us in room early. Walk out door, cross the street, you’re on the beach...
"3 day stay pre cruise"
Really good value. Clean, tidy and very comfortable. Staff very genuine, approachable and keen to help. Amazing location directly on South Beach. Really enjoyable 3 day stay in Miami before leaving for cruise. Miami is a great place to visit steeped in history and culture. I would recommend a stay in Miami and a stay at the Avalon hotel to any fellow traveler.
